well, i didn't want to originally explain this concept but i spose i will
briefly
Desert>representation of islam
the two rings(even though they're kinda hard to see) are representing two factions of the Muslim religion, Shea/Sunii
middle object[3drender]>the neutralism of the two factions, like a ven diagrams two rings intertwine, so do these factions .
the rest unfortunately there is no point explaining the rest because it was cropped out, i made 3 sizes for desktopography [missed deadline] this one i hosted, but the rest died when my computer exploded
this was inspired by the teachings of the Qua ran, which my mother has been reading me, i haven't kept up with it lately but intent to read more suras.

Beautiful peice I love the surrealist feel of it and the contrast between the almost mechanical render and the natural colours of the desert. It reminds me in particular of Dali's Geopoliticus Child Incredibly Impressive
